According to the National Retail Federation, approximately 188.5 million people will watch the New England Patriots face the Philadelphia Eagles in Tom Brady’s eighth Super Bowl appearance. At $81.17 per person, the $15.3 billion is 8.5% above last year’s $14.1 billion. Seventy-six percent of the NRF’s survey responders indicated they would watch the game, and of that 76%, 82% said they would purchase food and beverages – up from 80% in 2017. Eleven million responses, or 5%, plan to watch the game at a bar or restaurant, while 18% (45 million) will host a Super Bowl party.
