Skyline Advisors provides buy-side and sell-side services and business brokerage services for high growth, middle market, and owner-operated businesses. Depending on client needs, market conditions, and confidentiality concerns, our services range from a full auction process to discrete conversations with a select group of targets to a rifle-shot approach to individual targets.
Our middle market practice focuses on lower middle market firms, generally defined as companies with annual revenues of $5 million to $100 million. For sell-side engagements, we work with clients that are attractive to private equity investors, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, or strategic buyers. For buy-side engagements, we work with companies desiring to grow through acquisitions to accomplish strategic objectives, such as geographic, product line or sales force expansion.
Our owner-operator practice focuses on the purchase or sale of businesses that are ideal for owner-operators that will be active or semi-active in the business, but that also have an ability to scale. These businesses may be in the lower middle market or small and medium enterprises (SME) category. We generally do not work with single-location franchisees, restaurants, retailers, or similar lifestyle or main street businesses.

Our high growth practice focuses on firms seeking debt, equity, or mezzanine capital from institutional investors such as strategic corporate investors, venture capital firms, private equity funds or family offices.
Our middle market practice is dedicated to firms seeking to improve capital efficiency through the strategic use of debt and leases, firms seeking institutional capital to fund acquisitions or organic growth, and companies desiring to provide partial liquidity to their owners.

Strategic Transaction Support
Skyline Advisors provides strategic assistance to select companies desiring support in select areas of a strategic transaction. Services are available to sellers, buyers, and investors. Use cases include valuation analysis, modeling, materials development, negotiation support, transaction readiness assessments, capitalization table analysis, and due diligence support.
Through our strategic relationship with CFO Systems, we can also provide timeshare or interim chief financial officer (CFO), controller, and human resource (HR) services on a contract basis. These services can serve as a stop-gap for emergency situations when a high-level executive is departing a business or as a means of supplementing the core team of a rapidly-growing business that needs specialized expertise in select areas, but not necessarily on a full-time basis. The team also has experience with improving board reporting and due diligence for venture-backed and private equity-backed companies.

Commercial Real Estate
A strategic transaction often involves the use, acquisition, or disposition of real estate. Total shareholder value may be optimized by selling operating assets to one party while selling real estate to another party. In addition, a sale-leaseback transaction may be a viable alternative to issuing dilutive equity.
Principals of Skyline Advisors are licensed to provide clients with real estate brokerage through Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Ambassador Real Estate. Services include both buyer/tenant representation as well as seller/lessor representation.
